For a small subnet (/24) this change will not make a huge difference, but for larger subngets (say a /16) the difference is massive. Testing shows a time decrease from about 30 minutes to under 4 minutes. This is not the time to complete the discovery, only the initial ping scan. Once that has completed, individual device scans commence in parallel as per the queue_limit config item. |
