RELEASED Jun 11, 2026

• Improved the interface dropdown in Node Resources panel of the opCharts Node screen to display the interface name alongside each interface, making it easier to identify and select the correct interface. Go to opCharts → Views → Nodes → click on a Node → Node Resources (on bottom left) -> click on interface, and the dropdown displays interface name - description e.g. GigabitEthernet1/0/1 - Vocus Router

• In Administration → Configuration → NMIS Users, the User name is now greyed out and cannot be updated once created.

• Improved the Print Dashboard button in opCharts → Views → Dashboards → Dashboard to ensure records from subsequent pages are properly displayed. Previously, only the first page of results was shown when printing, even when additional records existed.

• Resolved an issue in opCharts -> Views  ->  Dashboards where the UI behaved incorrectly after interacting with the Print Dashboard option. Specifically, after opening the print dialog, cancelling it, and closing the overlay, selecting a larger page size could lead to unexpected behaviour. This fix ensures the dashboard view remains stable and all entries are properly displayed when adjusting the page size after closing the print overlay.

• Fixed an issue in Node validation where all dependency values were initially required to exist as valid nodes, even when some values were marked as "N/A". The validation logic has been updated to properly handle "N/A" values by excluding them, ensuring only valid node dependencies are checked. The Depend field is on the Advanced tab of the Administration → Nodes → Node screen.

• Fixed an issue in opCharts where some Models created for new devices did not display in the opCharts Node view. The logic has been updated to check whether the index is defined before evaluating it, ensuring 0 is handled correctly as a valid index.

• Fixed an issue where  opCharts could crash during endProcessing with a "Can't locate object method" error. Improved method handling and validation to prevent calls on undefined or invalid objects, ensuring more stable processing.

• Fixed an issue causing a "Usage: POSIX::floor(x)" error in opCharts due to incorrect or missing arguments passed to POSIX::floor. Input validation has been improved to ensure the function is always called with a valid numeric value, preventing runtime errors.

•  Proc::ProcessTable is called too frequently - SELinux audits every /proc access, generating thousands of denials that cause setroubleshootd to saturate CPU.

• Audit API – Retrieve Node Audit Trail

  • A new Audit API has been introduced, allowing retrieval of a node’s complete audit trail.

  • The Update and Collect buttons can now schedule update jobs and collect jobs for Poller nodes as well as local nodes.

• Chart, Map and Dashboard exporting

  • Charts can now be exported as PNG, JPG, or PDF Exporting Charts as PDF, JPG or PNG

  • Maps (excluding geo maps) can now be exported as PNG, JPG, or PDF Exporting Maps as PDF, JPG or PNG

  • Dashboards can now be printed / printed to PDF Dashboard Printing or Printing to PDF

• Node Configuration

  • Fixed an issue where Poller node changes were not being saved when editing Node Configuration.

• Administration

  • Admins can now create, edit, and delete users with complex usernames (including those containing dots, e.g., john.doe).

RELEASED 8 July 2025

• Dependency Maps - use in concert with Root Cause Analysis settings in opEvents.

  • Generate dependency maps from the GUI or CLI which uses LLDP/CDP/IP-FORWARD (ipCidr) data to calculate dependencies between nodes and their path back to the NMIS poller.

  • Save dependencies to node configuration

• Pagination issue when viewing ports

• Inventory pagination was inconsistent when sorted by node and showing many items for the same node

• Adding node/inventory to Enterprise Service by selecting/un-selecting boxes on GUI added un-selected item

• Renaming Node would fail in some instances

• LDAP authentication method no longer attempts anonymous bind by default. To enable this functionality set config optionldap_anonymous_bind to 1

• Uploaded files/logos failed after 3 files

• Error connecting to MongoDB “Name or service not known” that occurs hours or several days after omkd daemon running

RELEASED 22 April 2025

• TACACS Authentication Redundancy
  Added to support for authentication redundancy with an optional Secondary TACACS Server in TACACS Authentication.

• Export Nodes to CSV file
  Added Export to CSV button in the bottom right corner of the Administration → Nodes screen to complement the existing Import feature in the top left.

• CLI tool for expired Resource Lock cleanup
  Introduced a new opcharts-cli action clear-resource-locks to clear resource locks older than 24 hours. opcharts-cli.pl act=clear-resource-locks

1. Resource Locks issues
   Resolved multiple issues related to Resource Locks in dashboards and maps.
   Dashboards now properly show the lock modal instead of returning error 418.
   Maps now properly handle lock stealing, and cancelling an edit session correctly releases the lock.
   Locks now expire correctly after 24 hours, removing stale entries.
   The Resource Locks table now displays human-readable expiration timestamps instead of javascript object.

2. Duplicate graphs in dashboards
   Fixed an issue where adding multiple graphs to a dashboard would result in duplicate charts due to non-unique names during creation.

3. Outage not closing properly (opHA environment)
   Outages created using the Selector Property now replicate successfully across the opHA environment.

4. Dynamic Map issue
   Fixed an issue where certain dashboards, including those with dynamic maps, were not displaying correctly.
