Introduction

NMIS provides quite a few configurable items; this includes how to configure policies and behaviours of the entire system, and is why NMIS has been found to be one of the most flexible and agile network management systems.

The following table summarises the configuration files and includes expected change frequency. Files with Medium or High change frequency are the most essential ones to back up, but we definitely recommend that you backup all of the conf directory.
